Hello All,
I am new to this, which will prob be very evident with my question, but i am hoping you can help. I own a commercial cleaning business, and I wish to get into residential window washing.
I am looking at a 3 person model. My door to door sales person, My cleaner, and Me the owner.
If i go with percentages of the pie to pay each of us per job…what sounds reasonable for each?
whos doing the scheduling, admin, bookeeping and marketing? if its you or portions of that list, you get more than 10%. if its the sales guy or portions of that list he’ll get more than 10%
you, as owner only, business profit: 10%
operations: cleaner 50% if a self contained sub, 30% if employee then 20% payroll taxes, supplies, equip and transportation and insurance
sales 10%+
admin/clerical/HR __% scheduling, bookeeping, invoicing, routes, day sheets, deposits, etc
marketing __% creating system, design, online presence, online maintenance etc
finance __% budgets, figuring vision etc
still need someone to act as head of operations for training, safety, job engineering etc
numbers not looking good for retention? re-evaluate youre pricing structure higher until the pay looks good
not sure you can get that higher pricing? re-evaluate your marketing/message/target market
