Actually I’m just a homeowner who has a lot of solar panels to clean. The TDS in my area is really high (750ppm TDS reading), so after burning through a small DI system too quickly due to this high level of TDS in my area, I decided to invest in a Wash-iT Pro myself to get RO-DI pure water cleaning. I have a son who’s still in school but very business minded (he hunts for garage sale bargains and resells them on ebay for profit), so I figure he can also capitalize on this investment to do window and solar cleaning as a part time job to help him earn more money on the side.

So you are a homeowner who joined the WCRA for $99 so you could save 5-10% on the purchase of a Wash-It? Chris

Exactly. I’ve been eyeing the Wash-It for a while now but couldn’t justify the retail price because I don’t have a window cleaning business. Then I saw the special on the WCRA membership for $99 along with the 10% offer across the board for members a week ago, so I decided to go for it. I know it’s overkill for a homeowner to spend that kind of money on it, but that’s OK, I can afford it. And besides, I don’t think my son will leave it alone for long and he’ll figure out how to make money out of it soon.

Here in AZ it’s very dusty and dirty, of course. We have major dust storms frequently in the summer and during the monsoon season. And rain doesn’t come very often. I can easily have a need to clean my 44 solar panels at least 4 times a year if not more. I also have lots of windows and cars to wash. I also have friends and relatives who have solar panels and windows that need to be cleaned, too. The system probably won’t pay for itself quickly but in 4-5 years, it’ll pay for itself. If my son makes part-time income out of it, then it’ll pay for itself even sooner.
