Plexiglass domed skylights

I have done these before, but am never very satisfied with the results. Does anyone know of a better way to clean inside and out of those plexiglass dome skylights? The big commercial ones (3’-6’ in diameter) that is. I’ve always used either pure water or Zep40 and a microfibre towel. Any thoughts?

You could try this - Amazon.com: BlueMagic 750 Plastic & Plexiglass Cleaner - 8 fl. oz.: Automotive

Thanks!

If you need it right away you could check at a boat supply store, they should have something similiar.

I use a hogs hair brush and GG4 to clean; pure water to rinse. I’ve seen hucks scratch plexiglass…

Betco Clear Image, Spartan Chemical Sign off, Dymon Chemical Clear reflections are a few I have used successfully. I think Windsol makes a poly cleaner too

A cloth baby diaper is a lint free, scratch free cloth when used correctly

All I’ve ever done to those things is soap and water. I sponge it on then use a small squeegee to get most of the water off, then chamois it up. I’ve never been happy with them either and they always seem to be dirty in between, even cobwebs between the panes. I never worried too much about it though, slanted glass gets dirty on the outside so fast.

Same here. Didnt know there was another way. Cool.

Are you referring to the outside appearance or all the crap that builds up in between the two>?

Larry, hogs hair won’t scratch plexiglas?
