So in order to get my DI tank to not only fit properly in my car and to also allow it to be easily accessible without having to take it out of my vehicle, I went to my local Menards and picked up some 1/2" tubing/hose and some fittings and I attached them to my DI tank in place of the connectors it came with. that way I can attach my garden hose and my WFP hose at the end of them instead of at the head. I don’t see any issue with this setup, but I would like the opinions of all of you here on the site. Oh yeah, and if anybody knows where I can get a decent portable garden hose reel for 100ft of hose that would be great, I’ve gotten a good one for my WFP hose, but the garden hose is really hard to find a good cheap reel for…
i wish that was all i needed lol
we need full ro/di
i just bought 150’ flexzilla garden hose. i know a local cleaner who uses it its awesome.
im also looking for a decent live hose reel for garden hose
this one looks decent
The price on this one has gone up a little since I got mine, but I have had good luck with mine. I have two, one for 100’ garden hose and one with 300’ air hose then 100’ regular WFP hose.
that second one looks really good! So how are you using the air hose? How do you have 100’ of air hose and then your WFP hose, how does that work?
I realize you’re not using it for air, hahaha!
I have 300’ of air hose, then my WFP hose. If you use air hose, make sure you get brass fittings. I never have to remove the filters from my trailer five minutes max setup and breakdown time combined.
So the air hose is 3/4 of your wfp supply line and the air hose end is connected to the out of your filters? If I’m using DI only could I use air hose for my supply line as well do you think?
I think it would work well for supply for DI only. It would be a lot easier than garden hose in my opinion.
I think I might try it… I can get 100ft of air hose at my local Menards for 25 bucks. Thanks for the info!
i ended up buying this one! looks like itll work well for us
are you using a pump? thats a lot of hose. i run a ro/di so i need the pump for our long runs. i have the yellow ipc hose think its 3/8 what brand air hose are you using?
i use airhose for some of our other services using water and chemicals
I run RO/DI I haven’t used a pump yet. There have been a few houses that I feel it would have been a benefit, but I think it would have been needed with or without the long hose. On those houses I just switch from my rinse bar to a pair of pencil jets. For brand, I am just running Xero 3/8 pole hose. The air hose having a larger diameter restricts the flow less. For most houses 300’ would be enough, but when I need more I am glad I have it in place.
You probably were planning on this already, but you’ll want some hose clamps on those barb fittings.
Thanks! I figured I better go get some, now I will for sure, haha! Never done anything like this before, can you tell?
