I’m wondering how many huck towels I should have when I go out to clean an average 20 window home? Do you bring more or less towels depending on the season or temperature?
I have a Scrim towel that I started using and I’m anticipating using that along with some huck towels. Any recommendations?
I have a shelf in the van holds around 200, I would hate to pass on a neighbor or other job because I did not bring my tools to work.
I use hucks to detail window glass edges, cheapo microfiber cloths to wipe sills and frames, and clean white towels to protect from drips.
If you are efficient and neat, you might only need one huck for that house.
I typically bring a bucket with extra supplies to the front door, and work the house from my ErgoTec pouch. Refill as needed.
I use to go through 10-15 a house. Now I manage the amount of water I use much better and really don’t use more than 3-4 tops. (Usually just use 2 now)
Its always good to have a good stash available though.
I can do a whole large house w/ one scrim. I have about a dozen and they last us over a week. Then a small load in the laundry and we are ready to go. I’d suggest buying a 3 pack of scrim and you should be in good shape. <a href=“http://shopwindowcleaner.com/window-cleaning-tools/towels-sponges/scrim/3-scrim-pack.html?SID=31b2cf977660a9df1e72e8133bd02600&a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=bbf1bb44” target=“_top”><img src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/accounts/default1/banners/unger scrim-1.jpg” alt=“” title=“” /></a><img style=“border:0” src=“http://www.shopwindowcleaner.com/affiliate/scripts/imp.php?a_aid=mistersqueegee&a_bid=bbf1bb44” width=“1” height=“1” alt=“” />
We also use a synthetic towel called an AquaDry for all our sill clean up. The combo of scrim and Aquadry can’t be beat (IMO).
