Pressure Wash, Then use DI/ /RO with Waterfed pole

Hey everyone, Im Jason. I am new to this forum but not to the pressure washing and window washing world. Here is my question.
I have to clean a 3 story 53,000 square foot building. Cleaning includes pressure washing the exterior then washing the windows. If I spray the windows with normal water while cleaning the building will it be easy to clean the windows with a WFP and pure water? Also if the hard water dries on will the WFP clean off the hard water stains left behind? I live in Florida so we have very hard water and that is why I am concerned. Let me know what yall think. Thanks!

We have hard water here as well and I use my pure water system to clean the windows after pwing. What I find is that I sometimes need to use a white pad if the window is spotted from hard water. Keep in mind that the stains haven’t had weeks or months to set up so they should be fairly easy to remove. I’ve never needed more than a white pad on my Reach Around goose neck for pwing spotting.

Yes you should be fine. Hard water usually doesnt form with just a wash and dry. it happens when they get wet then dry and wet then dry and so. Just wfp soon after you power wash the building. If there already is staining before the wash the wfp wont take it off if its etched in

ok great, I appreciate it guys. Let me know if I can answer any of your questions!

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you.

I actually ran my pressure washer off my di tanks and pressure washed all the windows spotless, not the best idea but the customer asked me to do it and it worked out great

What exactly is a white pad. Where can they be bought.

WCR Scrub-Pad

Welcome aboard.
Some pressure washing rigs are set up to use both DI water and tap water. You could do this by simply adding a splitter on your fed supply line or have a tank filled with DI water with a splitter valve. Then you could rinse the windows with DI water after pressure washing the building. If they have not been done in 3 or 6 months you may need to pre scrub.
