So, I was looking to broaden my knowledge and wanted to read up on some more pressure washing/roof washing/house washing topics. Went over to the pressure washing institute form at propowerwash.com and signed up.

After an hour or so, I had never gotten the verification email allowing me to post so I went back and logged in. Here’s the message that greeted me…

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

That was good for a chuckle. Somehow I am banned from a site I have never visited by people I have never had any interaction with. Not sure why. Maybe I’ll send an email asking why, maybe not. Or maybe I’ll just continue picking the collective brains of those here at WCR.

I believe that’s a default forum message that the admin there never changed.

I’ve seen the same message at another forum myself after logging in after my membership had lapsed.

Pretty rude, though…

PWI is a great forum, I’m sure they’ll fix that soon.

We are not taking new members now…LOL

Its a problem with the server upgrade, thats what happens when you have volinteers running things and no one gets paid.

Seroiusly it will get fixed soon, its been happening to some since the server upgrade. Will let our web geek know, thanks and sorry for the problems.

Yea WCR has the same problems… That message can get kicked out if your registering from an IP address in the “range” of a spam bot or something that didn’t get through.

PWI is a great board, really the only other one I check out other than WCR. Its got a pretty similar feel to WCR…

I am using a hotel web service so maybe that’s where the trouble came from.

Same experience I had Larry. Just that they didn’t get to me for a few extra months. Now I know it wasn’t personal.

I am sure it wasn’t intentional at PWI. We have had guys banned at the RCIA who were within a range of IP addresses that were spamming us.

I posted it in the Mod Section at PWI so that it could get straightened out. It was a glitch.

We need to get to know Sam better before we ban him!
