Pressure Washing sidewalk pricing

Hello,
I have been doing residential and commercial window cleaning and eaves for a little over 10yrs now. In that time I haven’t really advertised doing power washing and have had the odd request to do it, but my last commercial job wanted a price to have their sidewalk power washed. So I’m weighing the odds of buying a good pressure washer. The sidewalk they want done is about 14ft long that runs the length of their business and they want it done weekly. So A) is it worth the money to invest in a power washer and B) how much would you charge for a job like that?

thanks

GJ

How many sq ft is it? I charge up to 20 cents/sq ft. For weekly, you give them a better price. To answer your question, YES buying a pressure washer is worth it. But be careful, if used improperly it can cause serious damage, educate yourself first!

Pressure Cleaning is profitable for sure, been doing it 27 years started this day 9th of May. Happy Birthday to my company, so yes its work it every penny.

Just like commercial window cleaning its about repeat business. Charge what you want to make per hour, normally you can make 75 to 140 per hour doing commercial maint pressure washing.

I will assume this is a store front accross and average business, it should take about 14 minutes to actually wash when first service is completed. The reality is that you want more business, can you survive in this one Job solely to justify a washer? NO

Its a start and what ever you charge you will like the profit in pressure washing.

OK thanks. When doing the pressure washing, how detailed to you get? Will a good pressure washer remove gum? I don’t want to make promises to the business owner and then not deliver.

Gum can always be removed, hot water unit makes it easier. Cold water you will use more back and chemicals to achieve the same results. Hot water units are three times the cost and you may not want to invest in this until your sure you like what your doing.

How did this turn out?
