If there arent any cut ups that is exactly my price range over the phone as well. I always bid by square footage over the phone.
With the prevalence of storm windows and quite a few show homes (either the front or back is nothing but windows) I don’t dare try the sq. ft. method or I’d have some pretty upset clients when I gave them the final bid.
yes sir’ee…I drink to that:D
Good stuff, thanks John. I’m gonna use the two above frequently because they are a huge factor
What is a pane of glass?
LOL
wow!
As sliding window, up or down will include more than one pane.
A pane is a framed single piece of glass can be fixed, or can slide or open in some way, and might be paired with other panes of glass to make a WINDOW.
I did not say window, I said pane.
A pane could be a single fixed piece of glass, that is also a window, single pane.
As for the sq ft…
I deal with a lot of custom homes.
My personal house is 4300 sq ft.
I have 35 panes of glass.
i bid a 4800 sq ft house today.
112 panes of glass.
I bid a small ranch house, 1250 sq ft.
16 panes of glass.
