I always seem to underbid homes with transoms on the interior and exterior of homes. I have landed a few jobs in neighborhoods where many of the homes have them and want to continue working there so I need to know how you price these types of windows and what is your preferred technique of cleaning them. Thanks

I usually add between $2 and $5 depending on the size and difficulty. I have one home where the transoms are leaded glass. Cleaning each piece is a little time consuming at first but now it is a maintenance thing every quarter. I get $10 for each of those.
What technique do you use, small squeegee? Or just microfiber wipe? When I use squeegee always seem to get drips from where transoms are not tight against the pane. Thanks

I use a smaller squeegee, sometimes I can fan the transom sometimes I get lucky and have a channel for a one swipe across. When you do a side pull the water drips down the side. I always have a sponge and detail rags on me for resi work. Always wiping up even outside (if there’s a drip possibility or just a lot of excess water)

There are many proper ways or techniques.
I have squeegees ranging from 18 inches to 2 inches. Some double and triple sets in case of extra hands. To handle every size and shape.
I don’t mind cutting them blades up when I can get em online for less than $1.50 with 18 inch rubber.
I usually use a ladder on the inside and don’t get too concerned about what size squeegee I’m using.
I’ll charge $5-$7 for the most part for transoms- lower side of that if they are grouped with a double-hung.
