Quickest Way to Clean a Window (Steve O Video)

I think every method has its place and there’s a good reason to use each one. This Steve O video is an eye opener.

On a side note: Is that Mr. Ettore in the photo? Is he fanning the window or straight pulls?

Why did he only fan half way with the pole???

Cause he doesn’t have your mad skills.

I’ve seen how you fan top to bottom with the pole, it’s not easy.

I didn’t even realize that was him in the photo!! :joy::joy:

I did do straight pulls to the bottom :joy::wink: I’ll leave the fanning to the bottom to you! I probably should’ve used an angle adapter, but that’s why I mentioned as a disclaimer that the excelerator isn’t a tool I use everyday but for it to be such a large difference surprised me…

I edited the original title of this thread because it seemed to argumentative.

…and here’s the other view point. The tools you buy and use constantly as your go to tools are the ones you will be most comfortable with. The real test would be 3 or 4 of the YouTube guys using their tools of choice on a large 10x5 pane. Not a race just steady solid all day working pace.

Remember back when PolznBladz first started making his modified squeegee videos. He ALWAYS did the bottom half with a really big squeegee. I think they were Sorbos, over 30 inches, and he loved using them.

PolznBladz knows long wide body squeegees!

I like the videos were they use “my” tools the best!!!

Hey Steve O… good video brother, all the ways you did the window were quick, so I guess it’s just preference…

Thank you!

Seems another pole dedicated to the mop would make all those techniques slightly quicker. All seemed ok to me. Haha @HE_MAN

Great video Steve O. You and a few other here inspired me to get a 24" sorbo channel, I use is with a ninja handle, so thanks you Steve. I use to fan most storefront windows but now I do straight pull downs on big panes. I think you should have used a a 24" or 30" on the straights pull downs with only 3 strokes instead of 5 strokes with the 18", this would have made a better comparison. Nothing can beat 2 or 3 pull downs on big panes, and of course a giant custom cut channel for each window would not be practical.

PnB purposely did the test on a bunch of small panes that you normally wouldn’t find on commercial. Big channels would smoke the excelerator on big panes. Even if fanning was just a fast, it would still be a lot harder on the body and take its toll over time. Plus my sorbo rubber last forever when I do straight pulls. The excelerator guys will be wasting a lot of money and time changing rubbers, and tinkering.

Commercial Window Cleaning- How I like to do it - YouTube start here 7:05

There is no way someone could fan with a pivoting tool and get these windows done faster.

And is done scrubbed squeegee in one go.

That is with out a doubt the fastest way with that size blade to any method. Period.

It’s so funny you talk about using a 24 or 30, I had the 24 in my boab before I started the video but I knew if I didn’t use an 18" on both styles people would say that I was cheating lol straight pulls with a large channel on large commercial windows is the way to go! There’s no since in fanning every window from top to bottom, and it saves a lot of energy doing it with straight pulls, as long as the rubber and your solution is good it will look sparkly when your done!

I never doubt Herman, he’s a Jedi window master but, I could wet all those windows use a 24" channel and do two swipes on each window to the bottom, towel the top and be done in the same and not have to use an angle adapter :scream:
