Used towels no doubt absorb better. Aside from throwing them in the washer and dryer 100 times, is there a better way to quickly break them down?

Sure…if you like towels with holes in them.
yellow microfiber from costco work right away and last far better than huck.
If you are talking about scrims the best way is to steep them in boiling water and give them a few washes. That is even true of the ‘washed’ ones.
You can feel the difference in absorbancy with a thumb.
30 seconds? 5 minutes?
they leave lint all over the place right away. You must have a better costco or meguiars must not like our costco.
Microfibers…on windows? Lint everywhere. Unless you get those super-fine micro ones I guess. Hucks for me. Or a chamois, can’t go wrong with an old school chamois cloth.
I tried the boil in water method for 20 minutes with a scrim. Not a fan. Didn’t seem to add any absorbancy, and you would need a maaaaasssive pot for 24 scrims. Plus I have 30ish bath towels to break down.
Anyone else have any suggestions? Seems I’m just going to throw them all into the washer and dryer a dozen times.
bath towels? Hmm, I would stick with huck towels, a recycled huck doesn’t need anything and wont leave ANY lint. ~Jersey 862-312-2026 Recycled Surgical Towels – WindowCleaner.com
