Has anyone tried mixing the rain-x into their cleaning solution? Would that work just as well as applying it manually after the clean?
Thanks,
Russell

Why do you want to apply Rain-X?
Rain-x is only good in your solution for slip.
It will not help with rain like on your car windshield. Think of the diluted ratio going on, you apply it straight to a windshield and have to buff it afterwards. Not something you want to use to treat your customers windows.
If you were getting paid for a sealant application, order a sealant from WCR ; )
Rain-x as slip seems pricey. Rain-x is kind of nto the best product in the world either if your looking at sealing a window. If your a professional window cleaner you should look into some professional grad stuff.
Are you thinking along the lines of using that as something to up-sell or distinguish you as a window cleaner from others?
Only one way to find out brother… go buy some rain-x and do the deed on your windows and check the results!

I usually buy their washer fluid because it applies it every time you wash the windshield.
The function of a windshield – and the physics regarding its environment – is different than that of a residential window.
I’d recommend one of these - http://shopwindowcleaner.com/soaps-chemicals/glass-sealants.html if you are looking to do the job right.
I tested out the rain-x on a bunch of my storm windows like bubakowski suggested. As advantage said, it was no good when used in the cleaning solution. Plus, it made the water go on the glass real funky… As for applying it after cleaning the glass, it had a nice effect, but it was way too time consuming for the results.
So, the next step is to purchase a professional grade sealant, (like suggested!). I am a little confused though. on the sealants page, the only NanoUltra product it allows you to order is the pretreatment. Does step 2 come with this?
