Does anyone use rain-x? If so, what are the advantages or disadvantages over commercial cleaner or dish soap.
Rain-x is more of a water repellent than a soap. When I do use rain-x it is after I have already cleaned the glass with my regular cleaning solution. I don’t think the effect of rain-x lasts to long. There are far better water repellents out there than just rain-x. I feel that it is a quick cheap solution for a temporary amount of time. just my 2 cents
Good for covering sucker marks though - & thats it!

I use the Green Rain X windshield washer fluid instead of water on the outside. Mix a little GG4 plus a drop of dawn=Clean windows with a rain repellant!
Customers comment how long their windows stay clean. Rain X works better than Dawn. I try to keep my Rain X bucket active for a couple days, and use on the outside only.
Use Dawn for the inside and straight water for cut ups both sides.
I also offer a two week rain guarantee to customers who are incllined to cancel due to rain.
