Rank your add-on services: which ones do you like best and why?

I second a big F to the x-jet. When we first got it it was awesome, until we saw the light of down streaming.

If was to go back 10 years and be starting fresh I would be a pressure washing company. Better margins, outside work so no scheduling to go inside which makes hiring more flexible and rain does not cancel work.

That’s how I feel about gutter cleaning. I wish I could just do gutter cleaning year round. If I got a gutter vac system up and running…

A lot of customer’s like dealing with a company that does a few services. They would rather deal with 1 company they trust than have to deal with 4 different companies.

I am inclined to believe that the future lies in bundled property maintenance. More and more of my customers could be called ā€œvery affluentā€ at least by my standards :), the wealthier people (from my experience) tend to want to deal with only a few people. If you could take care of all their property maintenance issue, they would probably prefer that to having another contractor who they don’t know set foot on their property.

Gutter cleaning is our most profitable add on as in dollars per hour but pressure washing produces the most income. House washing to be specific. Window cleaning is actually the least profitable but is more in demand than the other two so therefore produces the majority of the income for the year.

Thought i would revive this thread for all the people that have thought about add on services or have added new sevices for your window cleaning business.

What have you added or what would you like to add…

Window tinting… Oh wait that’s not an add on for me. Window cleaning is the add on!

Pressure Washing #1 add on

Graffiti Removal #2 add on

I don’t understand why the industry is not flooded with guys lining up to do this work.

Dropping window cleaning to less than 15% of revenue has been most profitable move.

Why drop it ? Why not just raise your prices. Unless it was dropped because of that. ?

If they don’t want to pay them oh well !!

Expand he top desolving the bottom.

Thursday soft washed a roof took 2 hours $715 house had maybe 22 Windows not gonna get $35 a window

Have stained a few fences lately jury still out but looks to be a profitable add on

I’m considering hard water stain removal and PW. Probably lower invoices for stain removal but lower entry costs and hopefully more than a seasonal demand. Probably more interest in pressure washing boats than buildings here with a surge in late August-September.

Have you done any decks yet, i hear the profits are nice.

Profitable? Whats your target market (box stores, civic centers ect?)

No shame in that game my friend.

When you say graffiti removal, are we talking glass etching or plain old spray paint graffiti?

I meant good old spray painted graffiti.
