RazorSync vs SmartService vs The Customer Factor vs Others?

Hey folks, we’re at the point where I imagine a lot of you are or were at one time where we’ve completely outgrown the systems we started out with. I’m almost embarrassed to say our customer database and accounting is still in excel, our invoicing is done manually with a Word template, and every single phone call and email the business receives is still blowing up my cell phone all day long (and nights, weekends, and holidays!) These systems were dirt cheap and that’s how I started- bare bones. But now it’s time to get efficient and streamline things.

We’re looking at implementing SmartService or another software program. Smart Service seems to be kind of the biggest and best program out there- looks awesome but comes with a hefty price tag. I’ve also looked a little bit at a program called RazorSync. Wondering if anyone’s heard of this or tried it. Seems pretty similar to SS but is a cloud-based subscription per user type of model.

I know a lot of guys are using The Customer Factor too- this seems to be a little less robust than what I’m looking for but would like to hear comparisons. Any other software suggestions??

We’d like a program that integrates seamlessly w/ quickbooks and can quickly auto populate work orders, invoices, etc. We’d ultimately like to equip each 2-man crew with an Ipad or similar device where they can see their work orders for the day, get google maps/gps to the jobs, and then automatically convert the work order to an invoice at the end of the job, take payment, and get customers’ email to send them a copy- totally paperless, plus a nice way of collecting emails for future marketing:D

Ok, way too long winded, I’ll shut up–any good experiences out there?

Based upon your desire for seamless quickbooks integration, Smart Service is what you want.

its really the only good one out there that will do that…

Thanks Chris, that’s definitely the way I’m leaning. SS also seems to be the only option which is available offline which I like because we are in a rural area where internet access in the field can be a bit dicey in some locations.

Any thoughts on razor sync?

Basically we are looking to automate as many repetitive, menial tasks as possible, eliminate double data entry, etc. And we need a system that will scale with us as we continue to grow.

I’ve been researching the exact same thing. Take a look at this one: getjobber.com. I think it’s the one I’ll be using starting in the New year.

have you guys checked out mhelpdesk.com?
