Receptionist cold calling

What do you guys think about receptionist making calls to potential commercial clients? If she books an appointment for a bid and I land it, I could kick her back a commission. Anyone try this?

i don’t see a problem with that, the commission helps them get over the fear of cold calling because the more and better calls they make the more they will make.

Yeah, it seems like a no brainer to me. She just said she would be fine with that. I never do commercial, so does anybody have any tips? Should I bring a brochure of our services? Do we want to ask for the manager of janitorial or building manager? Any ideas to help us get our foot in the door or land the job?

Thanks!

I approach the little bit of commercial I’ve gotten almost exactly like I approach storefront. Sometimes you need to introduce yourself and ask to leave a bid first though. They will notice if your walking the property uninvited. Leave a quote when you can’t get to a decision maker immediately. Timing is everything and luck helps.
