The Detroit auto show is the largest in north america. all the major manufacturers will have displays there. there’s a little-known section of the show that doesn’t get much traffic. it’s the fleet and work vehicle area. this is where the manufacturers will show off their new cargo vans, service trucks etc.
i’ll be attending tonight. if you guys have any particular vehicles you would like to see more of, or get more first-hand info on, post your request here. i’ll take lots of photos, and if there’s enough interest i may even shoot a couple of videos.
I always wanted to attend the Detroit auto show. Have fun.
I’d like to see the Sprinter, transit, nv200 and let us know if there is something interesting that would fit our industry.
Don’t let the truck models dupe you into buying something you don’t need
well, this ended up being a big bust. apparently the auto show doesn’t have a fleet/work vehicle section anymore. it was all lame “concept cars”, boring “super cars” and stale “luxury suv’s”. none of the cool stuff like cargo vans and whatnot. so i had to just drink beer instead.
i did get some photos of the new transit connect, but they only had the passenger version. i got some photos of the new ford connect 150, that is replacing the econoline cargo vans. it looks really nice. also, some photos of the new ram sprinter vans. i’ll upload them later.
