A couple months ago someone referred a WCR member to me. This guy was 100% new to window cleaning, and had no supplies. I gave him a list of things I thought a person should get when they start their new window cleaning company. I am humbled and grateful for the fact that he purchased these items through my WCR blog site, Mile High Window Cleaning Supply.
Today, it was my priveledge to take Brady Newton, aka WCR member peteypablo, along with me as I did a monthly service of entryways at a hospital. Brady has done his homework the last couple months, and has been practicing on his own windows. He shadowed me today, and he was loaded with questions. It was my pleasure to be able to help a new guy get started in the industry.
I’ll be willing to do the same for anyone. You can even ride along on a wfp job.
That would be great for me. Not sure I could work it out, but my family used to live in Longmont. When my mother passed they lived there, about 10 years ago. They are all in Colorado Springs now. I think it’s great you are willing help. When I get ready to move to wfp, I may take you up on the offer.
I had the pleasure of spending a day with Mark the Tool Guy (username beautifulview) it was a great insight and education + one of his customers gave me a $10 tip
Thanks again for taking me along. I really learned a lot today. It’s great to have such a knowledgeable professional help a newcomer so selflessly.
John gave me excellent advice on my start-up equipment setup. He recommended the basics and I’ve really enjoyed using those tools so far. I went for my first estimate this evening after my ride along with John and I’m pretty confident about performing the job now. With all of the information available on the forum, plus the insight I got from John on the local market, I’m pretty sure I’m priced fairly and will land the job.
Thanks again John. You have been an enormous help.
