Rubber by the roll

So, the other day I was talking to “grandaddy”, he started WCing 30 yrs ago in my area, then shared it among family, he gave some to my wife’s dad, we got his when he quit. So, that being said, he told me years ago you could buy squeegee replacement rubber by the rolls if you wanted to.

Today, I use several sizes of channels, so I end up buying 36" baldes and cut accordingly, however this method does leave me with some waste, and I hate waste.

Well, here’s my question; Is there a way to buy rubbers in a roll, say 100foot or so?

I looked at buying it by the roll years ago but it was actually more expensive that way. Don’t ask me why but it was. now that was like 8-10 years ago so maybe it has changed. I think it was S0rb0 rubber that i looked at.

Cool, thanks, But don’t you need a special type channel to use that kind of rubber, say a slayer or pickle? I use an ettore channel, and use mainly unger rubber. Iusually buy 36" rubber, which worked fine when I was using 18" channels, I just switched to a 22" ettore channel, and will soon try out the 24" unger ninja, and of course I still use an assortment of other channels, that’s why I was thinking a roll would be less wasteful, if anyone makes it.

Also the 50RB0 at 48" and the 50’ foot rolls is extruded silicone rubber and not natural molded rubber.

Tried extruded silicone once- hated it!

I am intrigued by the idea of buying by the roll… I wonder if Ettore or Unger would consider offering it?

Wagtail already offer it wagtail squeege rubber 3 meter roll
