Did you know that certain cleaning solutions actually wear out rubbers way faster than other products. Also phobic glass is like sandpaper to a rubber. The best solution is to use a wipe on rubber conditioner and a super wetting anionic glass cleaning soap for phobic windows.
Never had an issue with soaps, only with heat or junk on the window. Stucco kills rubber, and so does ultra-low humidity days or tons of sun.
