Rust removal concrete

so i just tried F-8 from pressure tek ( oxalic acid) on a rust stain on a customers driveway… it didnt do anything… tried doubling the recommended amount for rust removal and still nothing… Am i missing something here? followed the directions to the T. used a sprayer, only thing that stuff did was whiten the concrete around the stain…
Is there something better out there? maybe i got a bunk batch?
thanks

how long did you let it dwell on the concrete?

idk if its good to use on concrete but i use hydroflouric acid on rust in carpets.

applied it atleast 9 times… each with varying dwell times of 5-20 minutes… pressure washed it off several times, and rinsed the others… even tried a 0 tip on it… then tried a little CLR i had sitting in the truck all to no avail… nothing touched the rust stains… i kinda figured the 0 tip would have no effect but figured it was worth a shot… the killer part is the majority of the stains arent even that bad, just streaks from the cutting edges of plows…

i think i’ve seen people allowing up to an hour for dwell time, reapplying before it dries. maybe a little agitation with a brush

It depends on what is causing the rust. Rust from hardwater will come out, but if there is metal embeeded in it or some concrete has metal fiber in it when poured, then these will not come out.

We use super iron out from home depot on rust. I have found it and ox work best…

I am also going to have to recommend the One Restore. I have talked to a lot of customers who have had great success removing rust from various surfaces with One Restore. Give it a try.

Are you sure it is rust? Battery acid, for example, looks like rust on concrete. Also, check some paint stores around you to possible find straight oxalic. Phosphoric acid can be used as well, but be carefull as it can etch your concrete.

One Restore…never had a problem with it getting rust off…just takes a few seconds.

F9 BARC is the most consistent rust remover, used on almost every surface. WCR has this in stock!

Boom - F9 BARC Concrete Rust Remover

Well I tried other rust removers on my deep fertilizer stains and F9 was the only thing that could go down and pull them out.

F9 is the only arsenal we ever use much anymore for major and even lighter concrete stains battery acid vanishes like magic word

Did a video today of a metal sign that I used F9 on I’ll try to post it.
Doesn’t seem to be able to be posted I have some photos of before-and-after

Wow, looks great!

Got two upcoming jobs I love this F9 so much. I bought two cases today from WCR!
If you guys aren’t using this stuff your losing money!

Agreed! We’ve done 6 jobs all with F9 in the last 2 days. Had an Applicator a couple weeks ago make $2200 off 1 gallon… Crazy!!
