To make this time saving safety device simply pre-drill your dowel on both sides, screw in a couple of eyebolts and you’re done kid. Steel ring added to belt = additional cool factor.
Get yourself an S-Biner and you won’t impale yourself with the pail hooks as I have done a few times.
I think a lot of people may not like the weight attached to their belt, so I tried making a bandolier. I just slid a steel ring on a belt and slung it over my shoulder messenger bag style. Clip S-Biner to steel ring and you’re done kid!
I take that as a compliment He-Man is truly an innovator.

I like to build things slowly and take my time. I used to marvel at how far ahead many of the guys on the forum seemed to be. I feel happy to be making progress however slow.
Great idea. I can see the same concept working with extension ladders using a rope fed through the rung and loops at each end using knots big enough so as the rope doesn’t slide through.
Call me crazy, but I use a climbing carabiner wrapped in cloth athletic tape and clip the bucket to the gutter, then walk the roof with sticky rubber shoes to clean the gutter. My bucket is lined with a trash bag, with a couple extra at the bottom of the bucket.
