Safety officers

I just taped of a door way this morning to stop people walking out to a roof area where we had a stage setting up and operating. Added the new ticket, time, starting time, finishing time how to contact me and all the normal items on it. (This is a large building site)
I then entered the area to finish of the rig. Ten minutes later I get one of the safety officers come up to me and tell me I am suspended for three days as I entered the area. So down to the safety office I go and say a few polite words. And find out I was reported by another contractor so I challenged the suspension and pulled in the big guns. Then we sit down and talk the safety person who laid the complaint was a 21 year old just finished a stage course (two hours) when the head of site safety finds out that I was the one who closed off the area. He advised the young lady in question to get her facts right and before she ever makes another complaint, and then he asks her how many hours she had worked on a stage. Answer she had only done the course, and does not require to work on it. He then asks me how many hours I have spent on stages about ten years is the answer. He then tells her to leave the site and get the company she works for to send a real safety officer. How many others are coming across these situations each day
