hey guys - new to the industry and trying to set up a professional looking invoice to give to customers upon completion of job. I dont have quickbooks and am having trouble putting one together. Anybody willing to share a copy of the ones they use? Or a good website to go to that would have some samples. I was thinking i would personalize an invoice then bring it to kinkos or staples and have them put carbon copy on them. Thanks so much!!
You can find plenty of templates for invoices if you Google invoices.

I use invoice2go it works very well from my smart phone or tablet. They have pre designs to choose from. After my job is done I simply email it to them from home or on the spot.
Try www.Invoice2go.com. Free to begin with and then upgrade as needed. Work well for the beginner.

And with sign2go addon they sign their invoice and I email to them before I leave. Brilliant!!!

Still love invoice2go but now use wave accounting because it has a mobile invoice app that syncs to itself so no more double entry for me!!!

I really like using Zoho invoicing. The only downside is that it’s $15.00 a month. To me it’s worth it for a few reasons.
It lets me customize the invoice with my logo.
It automatically lets me keep track of paid and unpaid invoices. It even sends the customer a reminder when it’s due/overdue.
It has an online payment gateway for PayPal (plus a variety of others)
It’s especially helpful come tax time because you can generate reports through it. You can also record expenses.
You can also send mailed invoices through it and they look very legit (they even have a fancy return envelope included in them)
