We have had a number of questions about how effective is Screen Magic when it comes to hard water stains on window screens. First of all I had to adjust my sprinklers to hit half the screen to get an effective test screen. Then I had to wait and wait and wait… I’m happy to say that after months of waiting we finally had a good screen to test. I used a 90% solar screen because they are by far the hardest to clean.
I took a picture of the screen on my house with the hard water stains on the lower left corner as seen below:
I then treated the screen as I would any other screen by just simply spraying on Screen Magic. No rinsing no scrubbing, nothing. It did a great job of removing the hard water stains but it was not what I would call perfect. I tried to get it to show on camera but it was hard to show but their is a hint of hard water stain on the screen. See pic below:
So the next photo you see is after wiping it down with a micro fiber towel. That is the key to removing 100% of the hard water stain from he screen. Just spray Screen Magic on as you normally would and then lightly wipe it down with a micro towel and it will be perfect.
I have to admit, as the owner I may be a little partial but I must say even I was impressed on how well it worked.
