AKA artillary fungus. What is your prefered method of dealing with it on windows? Personally I’ve done it all. White pad, #0000, blade, fingernail. I hate that black crap!
The older it is the harder to get off too. What do you do?

I did find a plastic compositional abrasive that I could glue to a pad which would scrub it off without harming/scratching the glass. Of course the quickest way is to lightly scrape it off then steel wool the remaining residue. But steel wool is not fool proof in that it is steel. So it can leave VERY light scratches. Can. Depending on the roughness of the glass surface. Start using your fingertips on clean glass. You will notice real fast how it can be different.

Liberally wet the glass, let it dwell for a moment or so, scrap with razor, squeegee, rub any remainder with magic eraser, dust with dry towel.
Light scrape is the quickest but I shy away from scraping due to pre-existing damage. I hate paying for someone elses mistake. That’s why I hate that crap! It’s part of the business tho. Another thing to deal with.
Solid technique brother.
Magic eraser gets it off
I have to be honest. In all my years nose to glass I’ve never tried it. I’ll give it a shot.
Scraping is quickest but riskier. Fingernail if there’s 1 or 2 on a pane. Letting it soak I lil helps… It seems.
I try to be like a good surgeon and start with the least traumatic treatment. If that doesn’t do the trick then I gradually take more drastic steps.
Thorough Soaking->Fingernail->White Pad->Steel Wool->Razor Scraper.
Haven’t tried a magic eraser yet but I certainly will next chance I get @Kyle
