Anyone offer this after cleaning off hard water or soap scum from glass shower doors? I’m figuring a rain x or other product would work to keep the glass clean of hard water and soap scum for a few weeks anyway. I thought about offering this on a new flyer I’m working on. But was curious if anyone has used this on the shower glass to protect from hard water or soap scum. Or if there is a product that does this let me know.
Rainx could work but for a reduced period of time, there’s another product called Diamond Fusion, i used to use that when I worked for a glass shop, is really efficient but is awfully expensive and you have to buy a license to buy the product and to apply it.
I use Glass Guardian for this app as well. If the stains don’t come off with Safe Restore or cc550 I use a drill with polisher and cerium oxide. It has made me some good money. I charge about $175.00 a unit. Thats not the cost of chemicals.
How long does this last on the glass chris, and also how much does it take on app. to glass. I’m thinking most clients will only want this protection on shower doors or glass.
How many square meters/feet does one bottle cover?
I chatted with this cleaning lady on a job we were doing about what she used on glass shower doors (they looked awesome BTW) to keep them looking so clean. I asked her what her secret was and she told me that once you get them cleaned, apply PLEDGE furniture polish on them once per week to repel dirt and soap scum. I have told quite a few home owners about this trick and it does do a great job of keeping the glass in top shape.
The cleaning lady told me that the method came from her son who was in the US Marines. Her sons barracks had glass shoer doors and that is what they used once a week. It does work. I use it at home on mine as well.
Will have to try the pledge. I assume yo apply it to dry glass
thanks for sharing the houselady is probably in the home once a week cleaning so it makes sense for her to use that method.
as far as homeowenrs who wants to maintain their shower doors once a week? as simple as it may seem i think most people are too busy with a million other little tasks that they need to keep on top of every day. even once a year is too hard for them thats why they hire people to clean their homes/cars/windows etc…
i say use a good expensive product like that diamond fusion, charge them accordingly and maintain it once a year
