I am using the mix reccomended with SC and it doesn’t seem to be mixing in with the bleach that well - I do stir for a while - but it almost looks like there is “butter” in there and sometimes at the end of the bucket there is plenty of sediment left over
Yea, I bought one bag of it last year and never finished it. Like you said, it doesn’t dissolve well and, other than the smell, I didn’t notice any difference between it and dish soap.
I think it really depends on how you mix your SC.
I’ve had that problem before, but I was adding the SC at last and stirring, now I put some water, then SC, stir and then add the SH. I have my downstream line passing thru a PVC tube, so I use it to agitate the mix, or you can, being careful, use your pressure hose to recirculate the mix, with this I mean, DS line in the bucket sucking chems while filling the bucket with that same water. Hope that’s clear, if not you can always call Bob at PressureTek, he’s always willing to help.
Mix the Simple Cherry with a gallon of water ahead of time. Mix well and then add that to your bleach. I like two scoops for extra Cherry Fantasticness.
Simple Cherry is a product that a company came up with for powerwashing. From what I have read it’s mainly to mask the smell of the 12.5 bleach. Not sure how much cleaning power it has as again from what I have read it’s the bleach that does most of the work. I have never tried it but again have read (lots of reading lol). You should mix it the night before you use it. So far there are two choices from what I have READ lol. You can go with simple cherry mix or apple sauce mix (for roofs) and apple cider (for powerwashing). Both are supposed to be very good. I tried the Apple Sauce on my roof and did not see a big change. I wanted to get into roof cleaning but just gave up as I was never able to get my xjet to work correctly (i think it’s my powerwasher) and again I never saw a big change in the results after trying it on my roof. Now I have seen videos where as the end results look incredible with roof cleaning. But as far as a powerwashing goes, it seems softwashing is the way to go. Might want to check your state laws though as some require a license for powerwashing. Softwashing might be able to get around that law if it’s based on a PSI rating.
Simple Cherry is a great housewash soap. Its surfactant package is top notch- it allows the solution to cling longer and breaks up dirt like crazy. It also works synergistically with bleach, meaning you don’t have to use as much bleach to get the same mildew-killing effect.
Oh yeah, and if you add enough of it on top of your bleach it kills the smell.
I used simple cherry for the first time yesterday w 12.6 (i got fom a pool store). I mixed 1 gallon of 12.6 with 4 gallons of water and 6oz of simple cherry. I applied it w a broom to the concrete driveway and patio, let sit for 15 mins and pressure washed it off. After I rinsed it, it did nothing!! I had to keep the pressure washer close to the concrete to remove the dirt. What am I doing wrong? I was told the solution will do all the work and i just hose it away. Oh i would of downstreamed but it was broken. Also, can someone inform me what solution to use w the correct mixes for various aopplications ex…vinyl siding wood decks, treks deck, wood fences etc>>
Simple Cherry and bleach are used for housewashes. You don’t clean concrete with them. Clean concrete with water pressure and hot water, if you have the capability.
I went out in search of the 12.5% chlorine (or bleach) at local pool supplie stores and the stuff they had with 12.5% was “pool Shock” and it ran for about $3 a gallon when purchased in 4 gallon boxes. The guy at the pool supply acted like he never had a PW’er ask for it before. The label said it had 15% chlorine, 12.5% sodium Hydrochlorite (sorry I forgot how to spell it), and 87.5% other ingredients. Is this the stuff that we’re mixing 4 gallons of with 1 gallon of water and 6-8 oz of dawn dish soap? Or 3 1/2 gallons with 1/1/2 gallon of water and 2 8oz scoops of SC like the directions on the SC bottle say?
