Soft Glass Myth

There seems to be a myth circulating out there that somehow tempered glass has a softer surface than annealed. No doubt it was started by GANA as a ploy to hide the defective product many of their members are selling.
The fact is that the surface of both annealed and tempered or heat strengthened glass are the same, w/ the exception of FD, of course.

Havent heard of that one yet. Even if it were true, wouldnt it kinda prove the point of the debris in the glass is what causes the scratch? I dont know, wouldnt it also mean that we could charge more for cleaning it?

If it were true you could scratch the glass w/ steel wool. Now some guys say it scratches w/ a plastic scraper but of course that’s because they have gotten FD lodged in the scraper and are scratching every piece of glass they use it on.
