Some questions

Ever run across Paul Moore? He’s out of Stanford but has a pretty wide market area. Does mostly storefronts and commercial properties

I deal with a lot if window cleaners in an around my area
Here is one reason why this would be good , if you do route work the last thing you want to have to do is drive 45 minutes to an hour out of your way to do a $30 job it’s nice when you know a guy in that area that will return the favor to you when or if he ever gets something in your neck of the woods . Even a small resi job if I’m busy ,an it’s out if the way I call someone in That area an see if they can do it . Mike from md solutions has done the same called me an hit me up with a couple of resi out if his way . If I ever get call for his area he will be the first guy I call . I usually don’t get calls for his area
( "Sorry Mike ", but he knows if I do it’s his )
As far as advise get your advise right here in this forum . I wouldnt trust advise from guys I don’t know in my area

I team up a lot with another window cleaner/power washer an do work together . Works out great we are not partners just split profits down the middle

what would yall say about windex window cleaner. i mean before i even thought about becoming a window cleaner i used windex

I think you answered your own question . Window cleaners don’t use windex . When you used it you weren’t a pro . Now your a window cleaner use what the pros use .

I would put it this way using windex to clean windows as a professional would be as rediculuse as cleaning a 10 ft window with a 6 inch squeegee. Just not very practical. If u have to do small cut up windows such as on a door with the plastic grids. It is best to use a spray foam cleaner. They don’t run and dry streak free with the proper lint free rag. Besides the customer would probably look at u and say well I can do that!! Why did I hire a professional.

Not to rub this point in, but Google is your friend

What tax are you talking about. If you are talking about sales tax I don’t think we have to charge that in Kentucky. i Never have anyway. I don’t know if your particular city requires it or what. But I have lived in a state before that requires it and u just tack it on to whatever u are charging for the windows just like any other business would. If that’s what you are talking about.

i guess what i meant by tax for example is when i go to a job and give them a price of $100 do i charge tax to.

As far as I know not in Kentucky. But if u do any work in ohio I don’t know.

say you go to a customer to give them a price on window cleaning. while your checking out there windows you see some scratches or cracks on the windows. do you have them sign a paper(not a scratch waiver)stating that they know about it before you start to clean so they cant say you did it.

what do you guys think of my business card so far. am not done with it. but this is what i have so far.

Make the lettering legible and easy to read. Keep the colors simple as well, one or two.

My second run of cards had a design similar to what you’re doing and it felt cluttered after I ordered them I hated them.

This was my third and final design, I’ve got about 4000 now. Everything I need on here plain and simple. I’ve gotten more compliments on this design than the two previous more fancy schmancy designs before it.

Your business cards look really good Mike!

Yeah, keep it simple like Mike’s.

If you want the water background, fade it out to an opacity of like 20% or less. Then make the letters big and blocky.

Thanks!
