Sorbo vs unger

adds less time than the extra times you have to take the pole down to re wet the washer. Not to mention the better scrub you get with w strip washer vs a flip tool. Also why waste time comparing apples to oranges? there is no flip tool larger than 18" and an 18" doesn’t even come close in comparison to a large strip washer and squeegee when it comes to doing large commercial jobs with large second floor windows.

I have to say though, I’m amazed at how awesome the fliq works. I honestly find it at least if not more effective than my Pulex microtiger and the precision of the perfect rectangle is nice too.

Funny you should post the two-pole method. I was literally just thinking to myself yesterday, “I should get a second pole cause i hate constantly switching out the tools.”

I’m not at all against the flip or swivel tools. I just don’t see them saving time and over all I see them being less effective. If they saved time I would use them myself. And as for the argument that some try to make that I must not know how to use them that’s complete rubbish. They’re easy ti use. I have both the wagtail and Liquidator tools and can use them effectively. I could argue the opposite, that those who think the swivel tools are more effective and efficient haven’t learned to properly and efficiently use the traditional tools, but I wouldn’t attempt to insult someones professional abilities like that. I trust that they have a valid opinion and simply disagree.

This is also a mute point as I could, if I wanted to, soap and squeegee each pane at a time, just like the flique, and I would have to walk anywhere to retrieve my squeegee and I would still be faster than the swivel tool using straight pulls and a significantly larger washer and squeegee. Even with an 18" I would still be faster with straight pulls, how much more with a large washer and squeegee. To me its simply no comparison. The one place I see where the swivel tools might have a place is on store front. Even then I question it.

Zero…

Not sure which comment your replying to so I’m not sure what you mean by zero.

Never mind. It just clicked. :joy:

That’s where the issue is. It’s jot when your squeegeeing by hand where you can compensate for it but when you use a pole and have limited options except a downward pull square to the frame.

I have to keep reminding myself that most contexts are about resi, not storefront. Since i only do stores, i automatically think that way. On resi, i very rarely used my Wag.

For that matter, i rarely poled on resi. But i just may not have been that good at it.

for me I’m talking commercial, and by commercial I don’t mean point of sale or storefront. I’m talking larger commercial buildings where you have a long section of windows where your doing window after window in a row.

@HE_MAN regularly uses longer swivels than that.

Yes I am aware of that.I was only saying that no one is selling them. I am not a professional tool maker but a professional window cleaner. I am in the business of cleaning windows not manufacturing squeegees. even if I had a swivel squeegee that size I don’t know if I would prefer it.

You’re absolutely correct. And that’s actually why I love the excelerator so much. For pole work I go back and forth between fanning and straight pulls as the situation dictates. And 18" is plenty quick for a competent operator. For me it’s just nice to have one tool to do it all. I’m a simple kinda guy.

And on some windows you have better precision with the liquidator, you have no detailing.
With my Sorbo I go fast but can’t get zero detailing on some storefront windows.

I don’t seem to have that issue. I generally have minimal to no detailing.

Sobo 24" and Ledger 90% of the time even on this job.

I wish to retract this statement. I just watched a bunch of @TheWindowCleanse’s videos and he consistently achieves zero detailing with the ninja. I’ve started working on dive-bombing myself with the ninja and it can, in fact, be done. I stand corrected.

@TheWindowCleanse is a true ninja with that channel. Maybe one day I can be up to his caliber.
