Squeegee/channel storage?

Wondering how you all store your squeegees when your not using them. Any specific set ups? I like to keep them from hitting into anything because of the rubber but I havent created anything specific. I was thinking about cutting holes in the cover of one of my bins and them placing each squeegee handle into each hole. That way they stay where I put them and are clear of sliding into anything that might damage the rubber.

Gun case !! Use the sq as a gide and cut the foam. Another one is guitar case. Foam and cut slots. This is long enouf for 3 fters !! My 48 it put in pvc pipe with foam and caps on each ends. I use gun racks for poles and sq’s any thing that keeps sq’s from rubing !! Hope this helps!

i store mine in my WAGTAIL BUCKET EXTRACTOR which clips on the side of my bucket .

I usually have a spare boab & store them in there, take the handles off & put them in the work chest. Ones I use frequently get hung in the van. I always end up with too many squeegees in my working bucket.
I put a picture of a hanger I had on this forum, I can’t remember which thread!

I use PVC pipe mounted to the truck or crates.

Why do I have so many squeegees??

Hey Karl, Just found the pics. Thats exactly what Im gonna do. Ill hang these racks off the side of my bin that has all the other tools in it. Good thing I asked cuz I was about to start cutting holes into the lid, this will be much less labor intensive. Thanks!

Because squeegees are cool! I get all excited when I get a new one.

Nice set up Wayne. But arent you worried about someone jacking your stuff??
Like me, I’d take your wagtail since I dont have one.

Like Karlos I have an extra bucket on a belt that I store extra channels in. The extra BOAB fits snuggly in my custom made janitor’s caddy which stays on the truck.

Most of the time I just use my 6", 14", and 18" channels. But it is good to have the other ones in the spare BOAB on the truck if I need them for Frenchies or other special situations.

I glue the plumbing pipe on my boab for the slayers etc. My belt is actually rigged up now to take 3 boabs, but I don’t usually use more than 2 at once.

I have a Winspray bucket pouch 3 that holds 3 squeegees (my 18" and 12" Slayer and 14" Wagtail slimline) and an Ettore nylon holster for my 8" and 6" squeegees.

I use a spare Unger Big Bucket for extra supplies such as handles, an Unger plastic storage case (from their 25-pack of ErgoTec rubber) for channel storage, and VIEWTAINERs for small parts and pre-cut 6" rubber (detailing squeegee.)

I liked this idea. I just picked up a new “CruzCampo” bottle crate this morning & was going to turn it upside down & utilise it that way. Decided to keep it the “right-way” up so it fits my scrubbers. I’ll have to saw some plumbers pipe like you’ve done for the extra long channels or may just use the rack now its empty. I’ll also have to get a “bottom” for the crate to stop the squeegees slipping through.

I’m having a hard time visualizing this. Do you have a picture?
Thanks in advance!

If I am not able to carry my Craftsman 3 drawer toolbox with me with my channels, handles, scrapers and other tools, I use these. I put these together as grab and go kits. I also use smaller pipes to carry individual channels (22" +) to store in the trucks until needed

I use PVC pipes attached to ceiling with the end caps labeled with different lengths (24", 36", etc). Attach hose clamps, insert the pipes, and torque 'em down. I also use the gun racks for poles.

That neat I like that…

Looks similar to mine, but mine is long and skinny. It carries a 36", 30", 26", 24", 22", and I top it off with a cap.

I have a 50" but I only use for one job, so it doesn’t deserve it’s own holder.

I made the pvc holders and used them for a few years until someone on here suggested the a welding rod storage container. Much lighter and works great. The lid is easy to screw on and off and also has a little clip that I have found useful as a hanger if needed.

What type of bike is that in the back of your pic?

Have a few - but need to sort out my van to utilize. Mine are taller crates. But have a few similar pictured. Sorry for the delay to answer.
