Squeegee chatter or sticking

Hi everone. I’m somewhat new to window cleaning. My squeegee chatters and or sticks while cleaning. I generally use a 12 inch or 16 inch squeegee. I use dawn dish soap. Is it the soap or to much pressure or wrong angle. I would also like to Know some of cleaning solutions you use. Thanks for any and all responses. Randooo

Dawn should give you lots of slick so I’d suspect too much pressure and/or wrong angle.

Adjust your angle… I used Dawn and Joy for years without any problems (unless I put too much into my water was my only issue)

As for now I use GG4 and Ecover. Great glide from the Ecover and the shine GG4 leaves lasts longer than the soaps I’ve used in the past.

As others have said it likely is your angle of intention. But you might need a little more Dawn. Or a little chemical slip. Such as an ounce of supermarket ammonia or a tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate. Of course I use anything I can get my hands on. Most of my soaps are free as samples. My latest Speed II is a 70% active lauramine oxide. Beats Ecover! But it could never compete because of the cost. I really really liked this Teflon soap I discovered once. But at 700 bux per gallon I don’t think it would sell very fast. On occasion when I do have to buy my soap I use Dawn.

Doubt it my angle of attack.
I am a wagtailer and if the angles not right it will let you know.
As far as slip I use my super solution and am anal about the mix.
It’s either the glass or the rubber

Starting out myself, I practice with less slip, but on the job, I use more. Turning hard angles will cause jutter and sticking as well, particularly if you’re using less soap/slip. Make sure you don’t turn so hard an angle on a fan that hind edge of the blade doesn’t stop, or back up against the grain. I run Dawn, and it does well… particularly for my weekly accounts.
