Unfortunately it’s real. I used to work in that area a lot and the window washers at the traffic lights can get really aggressive to make their $2.
More than once I tapped a big knife on my windscreen when they wouldn’t go away. Only problem is then leave me alone but just go hassle someone less angry looking

It was a slippery topic and the administrators had to clean up the messes. I’m glad most of the residue is gone.
