Squeegee rubber- Off brand versus name brand

Is there really a difference in cheap rubber and (for example) Ettore rubber?

You will notice a massive difference in quality and performance between the Ettore brand rubber and the lower priced non brand name rubbers.

I’ve used several off brand rubbers and have never been happy w/ the quality or durability. Go w/ the Ettore!

Thanks for your feedback!

We messed up and bought 3 scar some of the rubbers the edges were toast out of the pack so imagine the thought of putting in a brand new rubber and then a huge ass streaks .Im not to happy withem

How do you guys feel about the unger rubber?
I’ve had some forever but never used it because i’m afraid it won’t work as well as the ettore.

Love their other products, just not sure about the rubber. Wouldn’t consider them quite an offbrand though

Hey Taylon,
I use the unger brand and I am pleased with them. I prefer the hard over the soft for at least where I am located. Hope this helps

I’ve used the Unger and always go back to the Ettore.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Another thing that I agree with Tony on!!! Will some one stop this madness!

Don’t worry; there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Try it out. What’s the worst that can happen? You’ll need to swap it out…

I’m as shocked as you are Scot!

I have tried them all! Ettore lasts the longest! They cost more but save you time…Even a worn out ettore will work better than a new 3 star.

I’ve read several instances where Wagtail rubber lasts the longest.

Ettore gets our vote.

I’ll have to agree with everyone who uses Ettore rubber. Trying to cut operating costs by purchasing cheap rubber would probably be one of the dumbest things a window cleaner could do. The phrase “penny wise and pound foolish” comes to mind. JMO

I tried a sample of Wagtail rubber and it did last a long time but it is harder than Ettore rubber. I didn’t like it because it left way more water around the edges of the decal lettering on my storefront windows causing more detailing. I guess the harder rubber doesn’t conform as well.
