Had a little bit of fun in the “about us” section. I am working on streamlining the website, combining pages which should be combined, bumping up seo through content and adding pertinent information.
Thanks guys I’m pretty happy with the overall design, what really got me stoked was within 24 hours of “tweaking” my content and resubmitting my page to google, my page bumped from pages 5/6 in my desired search results up to page 2. Chipping at that page 1 spot a bit at a time.
“While we may use some non-traditional methods to take care of your window cleaning, we still believe in the traditional values of quality, honesty and customer service.”
“Non-traditional methods” may not be exactly the best phrase. Maybe try “while we are committed to using ultra-modern, industry-leading methods to clean your windows, we also believe in the good, old-fashioned values of quality, hard work and blah blah blah.”
Just a free idea. You get what you pay for, so take it for what it’s worth.
PS - I like your theme as well, and also think your logo is very “sticky.”

Like the others, I think your logo’s great, but it’s not working out on my screen (I know it differs from monitor to monitor). It’s not the fault of the logo itself, but of the background. The “Window Cleaning” part of your logo, at the bottom, is hard to see because of the skyline in the background. You probably picked that background because that part of the logo was in the sky, providing a nice contrast, one that gives it a real nice “pop” effect. My site was the same way with certain backgrounds - my links at the side would be really hard to see on other monitors and devices. Sometimes different parts of the background would show up just by re-sizing the browser window. Of course, not everyone’s going to see what I’m seeing (again, different monitors = different results), so maybe everybody else hasn’t had this issue and that’s why they haven’t brought it up. If that’s the case, then you probably don’t have to worry about it, especially since there’s always something else to focus on, such as marketing, or in your case, the new shift in your business model.
Sorry for the tangent; let me get back to your original feedback request: I recall you had a picture of yourself with a fire engine in the background (I could be wrong). From what I remember, I really liked your old page. Seemed more “human” - the current page feels distant, kind of like I’m being fed the same message that all the other “professional, top quality service, X amount of years, your go-to people, blah, blah, blah” businesses use on their “Our Company/About” pages. Don’t read too much into that, though, as mine is on the other side of the extreme, on the “too human” (or, “Wow, this guy’s dumb”) side.
Sorry Josh, I forgot to mention in my response: the “Our Company” page you have isn’t necessarily bad. I didn’t mean for it to come across that way in that post. The point I was trying to get across was that it’s just not distinguishable from what’s out there. A face with a name is easier to remember than a description of the company. If it makes you uncomfortable, though, go with what you got. Refine it as you go. There’s always something we’re going to be fixing later anyway, right?
