Hi everyone,
I own a window cleaning business in Toronto, Ontario. I got a call to clean 16 high rises. I’m lookinv to subcontract it out. This contract is worth about 75,000$. My consurn is how do I guarantee the property management company will pay me when the job is done. I don’t want to have it all done and be short 75,000 because they won’t pay me. Do you guys have them fill out a contract? If so would it be possible to have an example, or is just sending my estimate by email, having them agree and invoicing with payment to be paid within 30 days or a monthly 1.5% interest will be charged enough. Thank you very much for ghost input.
I hate to say it but if you are asking if one needs a contract signed for a job that’s worth tens of thousands of dollars, then you might not be ready for such a large commitment.
It is extremely important to have everything down in writing. I would suggest you schedule a meeting with them and present exactly what will be done. Have the contract ready and signed then.

Hey there,
I own a business In edmonton, calgary & toronto - menatheights.com. I would be interested in helping you & potentially discussing how we may be of help. 587-989-0424. Cheers!
thNks for the reply, I dknt expect any to give me their full 20 page contract written by a lawyer. Would a 1 page saying these building needs to be cleaned at this price and have them sign it would be enough to cover my a$$. Thanks

No a one pager will definitely not cover you for anything. We would be interested in subcontracting for you to complete the work, we can easily handle all safety & contract documents of which there are a ton. You can take whatever size cut you’d like and we can complete the work & hassles. Could be an easy 15000 for you to make with one phone call. Cheers, 587-989-0424, 8442253261. Gabriel.
left you a message, call me back

jeff scott is another great option who has done sub work for me on high i just hate asking him to drive all the way to louisiana. if you find anyone who lives around louisiana and does high rise let me know…
$75k to sub out for a new client and new sub is risky. I’ve subbed in the past but now do everything myself. Been stiffed by clients and still paid sub. Hurts. One page proposals can work but limited details do not. You will also need other forms. The best way to make sure they pay is to get a deposit . I’ve never done a large contract without one unless they are a repeat customer. This can show how legit they are. But using the wrong sub is what I’d be worried about. I’d never sub out a huge job like that to a sub I had no history with.
I rarely look at other window cleaning sites, and pretty much NEVER when it comes to local guys.
I just don’t want to see something and think “aw maaan…I wish I thought of that.”
- just don’t want to be ‘that guy’ who “borrows ideas.”
But I DID check out this man at heights poster’s site.
- and aside from the formatting and design… I REALLY like him.
I’d hire him, just because of I get some of his ideas.
(I’ve actually used one, truly by coincidence)
Some of his “tips” should be splashed as a graphic on each page.

Dude, if you see this (only 2 posts, so I doubt it)
get yourself a new designer and throw your ideas at them to “make sparkly.”
The bad/good thing is, they seem to come in deeper pages.
I promise I won’t “borrow” anything, but you sure have some nice ideas wroth borrowing.
Are you prepared to accept the legal liability if your sub-contractor screws up? Your customer will come after you, not your sub, if something happens. I don’t think you are ready for a deal like this
