I am running an Ionic System that is near time to recycle the DI cartridges. The output is running at 3 TDS. But I checked the water coming it the end of the pole at the brush head and I’m getting a TDS reading of 13!
What gives? What could be causing this and what is a workable solution? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks for any help.
Are you using the same meter to do each reading?
Yes. I was testing the water from the pole and it was hitting 13-14. I then disconnected the pole and got it straight from the DI and it was registering 3 TDS. I then connected pole back up and it was reading 13. So I’m wondering what could be causing this?
did you disconnect the hose from the pole or did you test the water coming through the brush, the brush could be picking up the dirt and putting it into your test water.
I mean disconnect the hose right before it enters the brush
I have had readings where the tds is lower coming in than going out. Never quite understood it
When I got the higher TDS reading, I made sure the water coming out did not flow through the brush. I collected it right from the pencil jet.
Ok. Hooked up my Pure Water System this morning and got a 1 on the TDS meter on output. Then hooked up pole, just like yesterday, and got a reading of only 2-3 TDS on the output. So I can’t repeat the problem. So it will remain a mystery.
vinyl hose to pole?
Yes. Picked at hardware store.
try a differight taent hose see what happens or it might a little time for the di ti clean the hose.
Will try with different pole and hose tomorrow and see. Had been using the pole for about 30 minutes, so it should have had time to flush.
