Anyone here use one? I’m asking because no one in all the reviews and ads seems to mention that it leaves the better part of a wet scrubber sticking out the top of it and pressed up against your shirt. I mean…?? Am I missing something here?
Lol, how big a mop are you using?
I use the 18" and the only time I get pitted is if I lean down tight in a booth to get a low window.
The pulex boab rides pretty low if you’re having issues.

Either hold the t-bar in your hand and or leave it on your bucket.
Using the tabs that are meant to hold the t-bar. Or some just keep t-bar & channels in the solution.
Sometimes you get a wet spot. Comes with the territory
I use a boab along with my bucket. Dip and load in boab. Less hassle then a boab with solution that gets tipped and runs down your pants.
Making it appear you may have pissed your pants.
I personally don’t keep t-bar & channels in the solution. Use the tabs for channels, not so much for the t-bar.
cheers
I use a 18 inch in a removeable ettore boab
Never had a problem with "wetting of the shirt "
Maybe because it sits lower than a nonremoveable boab?
Sometimes I do wet my pants…
Peace

Jeff, if you’re having issues you can scrape water off your mop back into your boab. Should help out.

I only use a boab for resi. I use a 14" strip Washer most of the time. The boab to me is not filled with water not meant for a bucket. It’s just to hold my tools an prevent dripping. Most likly your using a big strip washer … Just a guess , but I think I’m right.

I use my bob on storefronts
Increased my efficiency and thus my speed.
I too feel the boab is a strip washer holder
Not a holder of solution

Oh, and to help the leg thing, I get a heavy black sock (short sock or even crews) and that keeps my boab cozy and absorbs a lot of water which keeps your pant leg from getting too wet. It’s a pretty effective drip guard.
If you get a crew sock, you can cut a slit to push your belt clip loop thing through and it holds the sock up. Then when you wash towels you can wash your sock or just toss it for a new one.
Nobody notices the sock and if they do they think it’s a custom fit window cleaning tool to prevent drips.
If you move the boab from front crotch position to the side of your hip then your pant leg might get a little wet but it’s better than the pisser look.
I can see why you say that. You can have two guys that work exactly the same speed, and style … One wears a boab an one doesn’t. I can see the guy with the boab saving a little time because he doesn’t have to walk back to get his strip washer , but we are talking a little bit of time.

I see your point
But when you take a lot of " little bits" of time and add them up it equals ALOT of time.
Also I am one of the few that find the longer I am in this industry the older I get.
Less walking and stooping to my bucket is just a added bonus to me.
Less aches and pain equal more work I can do…
Peace
Lol !! I think you may be right.
That’s a good one

I wear my BOAB closer to my back pocket than my front and I don’t seem to get as wet
Yeah, mine’s pretty directly on the side/hip.
(as I look down to double-check)
Yep. Just in front of my side belt loop.
And yes, I wear the clip on my actual belt, belt.
Yeah, doesn’t seem like it’s worth the bother. Maybe if I got a big for one and had the extra $35. Plus shipping, that is.
That happened to me a lot when I first started out. Just try to be more aware of how wet your washer is. In the first few years I was always soaking wet. It even got so bad I got a rash in that spot. After a while I became more aware of how wet the washer was and it practically never happens now. Plus I’m more aware of when water is dripping from my bucket. It saves a lot of bending over to dry up drips if you have a good handle on how wet your washer is.
