The hand print that won't go away

While doing a shoe store today I ran into something that has me puzzled. I got finished and noticed a child’s hand print so I went back over it from inside, still there. went over again outside, still there. Porcupine won’t remove it. The WC before me couldn’t get it off either. anyone have any ideas. I was using GG4 which has always done great{ no soap war} Dange, I know what you’re going to say and no I didn’t try TSP. It didn’t bother the store owner but I want it gone. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Did you try steel or bronze wool or a scraper?

I did a condo last year that had a high transom with a handprint on it… ends up the handprint was between the panes! Looked powdery, so I guess maybe it was powder from latex gloves mistakenly put there during fabrication, but who knows

If it won’t come off with steel wool, then look at it carefully to see what surface of the glass it is on. I have seen more than a few with marks left between the glass.

It’s a ghostprint.
If you remove it you will be cursed.

If the print is not between the panes, then you might try One Restore or Bio-Clean. The child may have had a wet hand with hard water.

Shoe store = commercial = heat-treated single pane (typically) = no IGU = no print in between

I knew there was a reason it wouldn’t come off.

Try rainX just over the affected area. I usually do this with the window lifting rings & it works.

LOl : )

that lil’ brat was sweatin acid…satans child.

If it’s on an exposed surface and regular solution won’t get it off just whip out Mr. Clean’s Magic eraser. Presto…gone. I’ve done this many times on super stuborn smudges & finger prints.

Or call an Exorcist if the Magic Eraser doesn’t work…
