The NEW Little Giant M22 with built in Leg Leveler

Lighter, stronger, easier to operate, built in levelers
…is it a Game Changer? anyone got one of these yet? I want one!

Oh of course, I just bought another LG to add to my collection 2 months ago, and now this gets released perfect!

I don’t think it’s a game changer, but it is cool. It also looks like it’ll do a stair riser as well. The leveler is 9.5" and a standard stair is 7.75". So that would be the sweetness.

not sure when it got released but i dont think is was really recently, might have even been over a year ago??? not sure, but its great to know that LG is keeping their eye to the streets and evolving their ladders as new technology is discovered.

ordered it and I should be getting it in the mail in two days, ill post pics when it comes in.

you use LG ladders a lot so im sure you know that the base width of the LG is flared out at angles so it doesnt set on a staircase evenly from one step to the next, in order to make it level you pretty much have to go two or even three steps wide which there is no leveler long enough to do that. that is about the only down fall for the LG and levelers.

however i do run into alot of uneven sidewalks and yards around a home to justify having a leveler on my ladders.

what are they selling for now?

I have the same ladder without the leg levelers. Actually 2 of them. Great ladder. Use it every day in gutter cleaning season. Almost every day in window cleaning season. The leg levelers add an additional 6 lbs. I like the Level-Lok brand where the brackets are on the ladder and you add the leveler only when you need it. That will save you from lifting that extra 20% of weight every day.

I did a Google search this morning and found one for $204.

Yeah, I was hoping that since the leveler was actually inside the leg, that it might work on stairs. It would be useful, but I’ve done without it so it’s not a deal breaker.

I got my M22 with levelers and the damn thing is not as light as I thought it would be for these newer models its almost the same weight as the originals, well I added the levelers and for some reason they also installed the step tray (see gogole image pic) on the second rung to allow a wider platform to stand. those additional add-ons probably add another 7 pounds.

I was looking at the leveler and it only comes out about 9 inches but there is still a good 10 inches that remain in the ladder, im sure this is for leverage and stability. but Im going to macgyver a way to allow more of the leveler to come out so i can have more length on it.

also be on the lookout, im trying to jimmy together a way to roll my LG on its side (kind of like carrying a surfboard)
the whole reason we end up carrying the ladder and not rolling it is because the current roll design forces you to roll it at is width.
if we can roll it on its side like a surfboard we can go thru doors, skinny sidewalks, down stairs etc…that would really alleviate the burden of carrying the heavy ladder.

Humm, I don’t know about surfboards, but it would make sense to put the rollers on the outside of the legs instead of inside. Then you don’t have to roll it at width, but you roll it sideways. It would be MUCH easier to maneuver and easier to roll, but you might have to balance it a little.

I was trying to paint a picture but now you can see what I mean because I completed the change, took me 30 minutes using a grinder and drill.
the wheels are now rolling the ladder length wise and it works like a charm, easy to roll, easy to setup, doesnt affect stability in use in anyway. IM SO HAPPY!!!

Nice! That’s what i was thinking. I don’t use the wheels now cuz they sort of suck.
