The New Wagtail Jetstream

Does anyone have experiance with this new tool from Wagtail? I know how much I use the pivoting water fed pole, there was a lot of dicussion of this last week. I just bought one, right out of the blue. I do that a lot in winter, I buy tools.
This is a great idea The rinse bar with 20 jets ABOVE the agitator so theres no need to raise the brush and repeat the motion. How come nobody thought of this before ?? Seems Duhhh…
Anyone used one ?? The proof is in the work Josh

Yeah i’m excited to hear some feedback as well.

In particular i have a car dealership that i do in the city. The actually showroom is on the second floor and the windows are about 15 feet high. I tried pure watering them but they are super hydrophobic.
So far the best method has been using a 30 foot pole with a scrubber and squeegee. It would be amazing to pure water them though.
I have high hopes for the jetstream.

ashman Seems like a great idea The 2 keys for me is whether they can get up into the residential corners and "old " windows and if it can adjust to straight out , zero degrees which is an often used angle over bushes and close in
also I d like it if all the jets are not producing too much water as I prefer a very low flow to avoid splashes. I like the water to come out and go immediatly down. The lowest possible flow. Works better. That many jets could be problematical , but I m in so lets see

Looks like a cool and useful tool for wfp work.

Does anyone have any feedback on this tool?

The wash pad itself is a couple inches longer than the bar that holds it. This means that if you shove it into a corner the pad will bunch up into it somewhat like a cloth. Not as good as a brush but still pretty decent.

and if it can adjust to straight out , zero degrees which is an often used angle over bushes and close in

If you use a Wagtail angle arm before it you can produce that zero degree effect. Good for ground level work like wfp’ing over bushes, flowerbeds, etc.

also I d like it if all the jets are not producing too much water as I prefer a very low flow to avoid splashes. I like the water to come out and go immediatly down. The lowest possible flow. Works better. That many jets could be problematical , but I m in so lets see
i’d suggest a ball valve on your pole hose to control your desired flow rate.

This seems silly to me. A pad just cant get into places well, frames, corners, etc. While watching the video I just don’t understand all the ‘fanning’, seems like wasted time with far less agitation.

Now, throw the same concept over a wfp brush and you have something practical IMO. In fact, make a ‘jetstream’ to fit the t-slot on the reach it brush blocks and this could work great. This has been done in the past, I’ve seen it and also given it a try (a very subpar attempt).

All eccentric ideas but…
Has ANY of y’all used the jetstream?

So what. Why shouldn’t he get rich from selling his products. That’s what being in bussines is all about to make as much money as you can.

one76, it sounded to me like his main issue was with the lack of recognition to those who came up with the original idea. There are very few truly “original” ideas in the manufacturing world. I think that those companies who at least tip their hat to the originator(s) should be applauded. I personally don’t know whether or not Willie has given anyone credit for the ideas that were not expressly his own. But I can think of one guy who makes sure to give credit where credit is due: Perry Tait of FutureofCleaning. The owners of this Forum have been conscientious in this regard, as well.

.

hmmmm, I dont think we can paint a broad stroke and say that just because something was written on a forum that that was the originator of the idea. Something so simple as putting a pure water hose on a tbar is hardly innovative.

two years ago I got my first wfp setup, as I started to use it I understood the method it was cleaning and started to think up ways to apply this purewater cleaning to lower hand-reachable windows. I put some hoses on my tbar and had my own little tool. I did not get the idea from this or any forum and as far as im concerned im the originator of this new tool.

I think all of us humans are a progressive species and we all have the God given gift of creating, Its those who take ideas and put them into action that get somewhere in life.

Sigh! Andrew instead of dealing with supposition buy one of them and have a good play. I personally have purchased one of the early prototypes and I can tell you straight up that every point you have raised is incorrect. This is a fine complement to my watered window cleaning arsenal. Will it replace brushes? Of course not. But, it has become an invaluable part of my daily kit. Can it be improved? Of course. Spray bar setup needs tweaking and refining. You can use as a pad anything you like. I’ve just purchased a couple of bronze pads that i’m going to experiment with. I’ve also heard of another guy who is going to play with a porcupine/bronze pad hybrid…No biggie really is it? By the by. If the previous idea was a T/Bar then sorry but it’s not the same EXACT same idea…Willies curved scrubber with pivot is a totally different beast.

.

So some one came up with a idea and another person perfected it.
its Not stealing. Its called progress.
If someone SUPPOSITLY came up with the idea before, i am sure a quick look in the patent office will prove the truth.
Again i hear (read) a lot of negatives from those who have NEVER used it.
While its GREAT to hear (read) ones personal thoughts on it, they are just that… THOUGHTS.
I would like to hear from someone who has ACTUALLY used this product give a review on it, not someone who THINKS its a stolen idea and THINKS its worthless.
Those are just thoughts
I want facts…

I’ve used it.

You posted this exact thing, word for word on my Youtube channel under the name Michael John. So are you Andrew or Michael.

Plus, out of the entire 6 posts you’ve made on WCR (as of this writing) 5 of them are to bash Willie and the Jetstream. Your participation here is pretty transparent. Just political.

If there is an existing product or better product on the market than the Jetstream, it would be nice to share it with the group.
