The solution!

Hey Guys,

I know of a wc who’s been around for over 25 years, and says he only uses dishwashing liquid (certain brands and types) for his solution. So far, because of his example, That is what I’ve been using. THE QUESTION:
Are there superior solutions that make a difference???

If you search this topic on this forum or any other window cleaners forum you will find plenty of info on detergent.
We call it a soap war.
You can search GG4, Dawn, or Glisan.

Oh goodie another soap war. Who will fire the first shot? Stay tuned to find out.

oh no !

Hey guys and gals,
I would like to submit my most humble appologies for any agitation that this subject might engage. As a college student I might say that I passed my Psycology 101 class [c-], and thereby am able to see the ensuing tension. So allow me to say from the bottom of my my little bitty heart …
I LOVE YOU MAN [AND LADIES]

In an effort to make this a peaceful interchange remember our reality…we are window cleaners!!! A wise man once said, “Every time I close the door on reality, it comes in through the windows.”

                                                                           LinO

You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Also I have a big job comming up and I’d like to use the …superior solution.

Try several different solutions and use what works best for your area. Most companies will send you a sample of their product. I’ll bet Chris and Alex can set you up w/ samples of Glass Gleam and other window cleaning soaps.

I use a mix of GG4 and Dawn dishwashing liquid. I use the Dawn mostly so I can see it on the window, the GG4 gos on clear and you could sometimes miss a spot.

Yeah, Titan Labs sent me samples of gg3, gg4 and a couple other things that I can’t remember right now.

Did you scream when you saw this thread this time Alex???

GG4 is the best. That’s it, fired across the bow lol. No wait Easy glide is better. Hum but I only use simple green 50% of the time lol .

My head is already hurting and the war hasn’t even started yet. GG3,GG4,dawn, whatever. Find what works for you and go with it.

NOOO!!! not the soap talk!
ahhhhh!

dawn and water…

The only Dawn I work w/ is my wife!

(funny drum roll)

The only solution I use so far is Sunlight Dish soap. I just received a sample pack from Titan Labs, so I will be trying out GG3 and 4.

I found that other dish soaps, especially the ones with lotion in them streak something fierce.

(Throws up Flame Shield)

Careful who fires the 1st shot, could be farting bubbles

I’m thinking of giving the old Lava Liquid hand soap a try. I mean soap is soap right?

I’m supposed to be using soap with the water?

I only use Dawn Ultra because one it’s cheap, and two the commercial grade burns my hands since I don’t wear gloves when I clean. Although I have been thinking about trying some commercial grade again for the glide factor. But I worry about what they put in that stuff, I don’t want my hands falling off in the near future.

I bought this window cleaning product designed for window cleaners from a local company and they said, its great stuff and not bad for you, yet their was no list of ingredients on the back and it burned my hands so there you go, I got burned and ran back to mama Dawn!

Ok Ill bite

GG4 is our best seller…

In our WC Company we just use dish soap. If I worked alone I would use GG3.
