Which professional cleaners did you utilize 25 years ago when you became a professional?
Uh oh, man the battle stations men! This is Blue Dawn…they’re closing in… Do you copy? This is the Grey Goose 4 (GG4) Ive got your back!!!
OK, I’ll stop now…
That is the kind of statement that starts the war buddy.
Never dare elevate yourself above any of us with your soap. Soap does not make you a professional… sorry.
Back in 1976 I used Joy dish soap and a touch of Parsons sudsy ammonia. At the time it was cutting edge technology. I also used a round hog’s hair brush. The strip washer had not been invented yet or perhaps it was just not known about by most window cleaners.
The people at Titan Labs have a large loose leaf binder filled with hundreds of testimonials on the advantages of using their detergent.
May I suggest doing your own side by side tests and see for yourself?
“A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.” someone famous. :D
I totally agree with that. (except for the silly binder full of testimonials. It looks like Dawn could have a binder at least that size from window cleaners… am I wrong?)
Sudsy ammonia still has uses, like for smokey windows.
Also try out the many products not made by Titan.
Jack, There is a reason that article suggests using “vinegar”, do you know why?? I do…
I use dawn… it is a great “soap”, I have made soaps from scratch, I understand what it “takes”. I understand cleaning agents in general, “probably” more than most…
Oh yea Jack, 1 other thing I AM A PROFESSIONAL!
I was wondering, do you think the painters have paint wars over on their forums?
Absolutely they would. I have had very little experience with painting and even I can see the difference when using a quality paint over the cheap stuff.
Is GG4 green?
As green as any other soap.
I thought it was blue?
GG3 is kinda yellow…
This argument always ends up going no where. Its like two guys arguing over engine oil. God I remember those debates back in the 1980’s. ;(
Great,
thx 4the input …Love the avatar

You obviously don’t believe this…so tell me…Please…I’m begging here.
Why GG3 if you work alone? LinO
We’ve been trying dishwashing liquid, gg3, and gg4 for a few months, and I must say that I like gg3 more than gg4 because 4 has barely any glide. Even when we added a surfactact like *** slick.
So if we use gg4, we always add dawn (which makes me wonder why do we even put gg4 in there anyway?)
For now on, we are only buying gg3. With gg3, we can add about a capful of dawn and it makes a perfect solution for us.
Have you ever considered cleaning your windows with a microfiber window cloth and just water? With the microfiber window cloth you do not require a solution. Check out a chemical free alternative www.pinchofnorwex.com
I think this is posted in the wrong section. you should be posting this in the vendor section.
Why don’t you just windex while you’re at it and nicely rub it in with that microfiber cloth Air will be cleaner. Window will attract all the dust.
I have circled the globe, treked through the desert, climbed snowcaped mountains and plunged to the bottom of the deepest oceans to discover what you can learn right here that gg4 is the best product on the market for cleaning windows. I add a friction reducer like sorbos glide when the sun is baking the windows to slow evaporation. I have good eyesite so I dont require a lot of suds. So other than the glide gg4 is the product that I stick with.
