Its probaly another company that called. I would agressively market that neighborhood, it must be a good one because another company is getting crazy over it. Anytime a competitior calls you and is angry about you solicting a neighboorhood or route accounts , go after the work even harder, it usally means there is money to made there.

All i know is as for me if i know that is i came across with a store front or a resident that is happy with their window cleaner, i will not try to take their business.
If fact i would leave a card just in case the customer for whatever reason wants to change window cleaners but i will not try to take bus8iness from another cleaner.
The way i look at it, there is really no need for competition due to the fact that there plenty of windows for everyone to clean. That is just my view;)

I have a very good friend who i’ve known for years close by that cleans only Residents and some store fronts and if i happened to sell in a area where he works at
then i would just skip his customers and so forth and he does the same. If he needs help , he’ll call me and i do the same for him:D

But if this other window cleaner is not your friend and you have no way of knowing what residents or stores he cleans you’re going to unknowingly be trying to take his customers right.

I don’t knowingly go after another window cleaners customers either but at the same time I’m not going to walk on eggshells trying to dodge them if I don’t know which customers are their’s. I’m not the cut-throat type but some of my competitors are. There are some mean people out there. They want your customers!!!

I totally agree with you bro… but to be honest i’m not worried about it cause:

1. There are plenty of glass to go around
2. all my customers ( about 98 %) had said that they would only prefer me to clean their windows -
   i had about 20 of my customers already had told me that someone else came by to bid and offered less what
   i was charging but they all told them that they are happy with me:cool:

God fearing, Rapport, quality clean, and punctuality are my keys to success.

Yeah, there’s plenty of glass out there. All you have to do is go after it and take good care of your customers. It’s sad that some competitors get all bent out of shape about it. They should just worry about there own business and not mine.

There’s definitely enough glass to go around. I’m not trying to take anybody else’s business and nobody’s gonna stop me from going after mine.

That line by CFP is the most important sentence in this whole thread. There would be no problem at all if all window cleaners stood by those words.
