what do you guys use to clean screens, i use dawn and ammonia. im wondering what is the best inexpensive cleaner to use. some use tide with bleach or simple green is there anything else? what works the best?
Many have used Tide w/ bleach alternative. Some have also found cetain carpet cleaning chemicals that work well.

For heavily soiled screens the biggest thing to remember is the cleaning pie - heat, dwell time, chemical, agitation.
Do you have a pie chart and mnemonic for that statement?
Seriously, is the order you listed them in importance Tony?
The order isn’t as vital as having all 4 in your method. Leave any one out and you reduce the effectiveness of the other 3.
Anyone use the Winsol screen cleaner? Is it a spray on type cleaner like Screen Magic?
WOW! Even screen cleaning is getting technical.
Just use your window cleaning solution and your strip washer. Scrub,tap,wipe,install done.
I have tried that out a few times. Its really more of a sealer but it does clean to. You can apply it to new screens to prolong there life as well.
Actually yes… Chemical, Heat, Agitation, then Dwell

Been there, Done that… Which is why I came up with a better way!!!

I cant wait for them to come out with a product that works like that for carpet!!! "Ummm ma’am, I will spray this “magic” solution solution on your carpet, and the dirt will magically disappear

I don’t rinse I just tap and wipe the frames and like you said, Let mother nature do the rest.

I dont live in your area… (re-read the post) if you dont get with the times someone will, they may be leaving things like the customers screens “cleaner”. Again, in the desert, the strip washer, and soap deal does NOT work…
Look I did the strip-washer thing forever, like you and everyone else, I got tired of bad results. I wanted a better result, I get them, everyday.
Lets face it… I even leveled the playing field, for my competitors in my own back yard.
Dude it screen cleaning bro! One way might be better for you but in all reality if done right they will come clean with a strip washer or your way. I have never recieved a job because of the way a company cleaned the screens. I got these jobs because the company could not clean WINDOWS. Im not your huckleberry!
I wasn’t talking about the order of the process as much as I was that they are all needed for the best outcome. Couldn’t you switch heat and chemical around if you are getting hot water first and adding chemical to it?
The order was asked… Sure you could switch… I almost ALWAYS add chem, AFTER filling a bucket of Hot water… otherwise a 1/2 bucket of foam.
