i found this out this summer and thought i would share…
i was washing the inside of a skylite in a living room with cathedral ceilings… it was high, it was hot and i was on the top rung of a fully extended little giant, with flip flops on (i stopped by the job, wasnt supposed to be working and didnt change into sneakers), with the skylite up over my head…
the water came off that skylite super black and like a sponge the sheetrock absorbed every last bit of it before i could get to my rag. instantly i felt sick, there was no way i was going to be able to hide it and it looked bad… i mean REAL bad… nevermind the laughter from the guys who work for me.
fortunately there was a cleaning woman there and i asked to use her “magic eraser”… i wet it rang in out and scrubed the marks right out… disaster averted!
i also found that when you remove storm windows and there is a slightly wider sill than usual and you catch it a little of it with a storm window… you can easily remove that grayish “scratch/mark” with a damp magic eraser.
i now keep a magic eraser on me at all times.
hope this is helpful…
Do you have a link for magic eraser? Is there a certain brand that is better?

We don’t have Walmart or home depot here - but I recognise the brand - called “Don Limpio” here - so I’ll have a shufty.
No problem. If you can’t find them your part of the world, we can send you some. They are awesome!!!
OOh, I’ll keep you to that I’ll have a look tomorrow in Mercadona, Eroski & Calzoncillos Paco.
Interesting story behind these magic erasers. The people who invented it were going no place. No one wanted to buy the things. They get the product on HSN (Home Shopping Network) TV. The product was used in Donald Trumps “apprentice” show as one of the tasks. The contestants were the ones who had to sell the product on the HSN show. Well a few months later the product was bought by Procter & Gamble and sold here in the states under the Mr Clean brand.
