Tips for screen washing, but there's a catch

Hi all. For the first time I encountered a permanent screen installation. Very large screens, 5ft by 5ft, surrounding a furnished and decorated patio (no place for spraying hoses). Screens can not be removed and they are just plastered and embedded with dust from local construction.

I tried using a vacuum with brush on the end to un-dust these things but it was terrible on my arms and only gave mediocre results. I dread trying to wipe them with wet rags, possibly creating streaks in the dust.

Any suggested methods for cleaning these things?

I would use a strip washer with solution, and then wipe that off with microfiber. It will use a lot of micro fibers, but I would think be the fastest.

For screened in porches we will scrub the screens (both sides) with soap and a brush and rinse with a garden hose from the inside out. No need to rinse from the outside in. This way you do not need to really cover or remove furniture from the porch.

If its outside, its hoseable. have them move their crap so you can do your job properly.

@Steve076 you think Screen Magic would help?

I have never used it, there is a bloke called the wagman, an Aussie guys from western Australia, has a few videos on how best to use screen magic

If you have an old brush from the water fed pole, they make a good screen scrubber.

Thanks Steve, that is a very descriptive overview of Screen Magic. definitely a possibility for this job. Possibly as a second pass after the main dust layer is swept off.

when I have used it, It has seemed to work very well, but it can somehow leave a hydrophobic coating on the glass from my experience.
