Ok, I have had the Mr. Squeegeeless for about 8 mos. I adapted it to work with my WFP, some of the parts in it currently are from when I was using a 30’ Unger regular pole.
With the aquadapter and a back pack, this baby worked awesome! Shout out to Tony E!
Nice modifications Jeremiah. Glad it’s working for you.
seems backpacks are used a lot in the midwest?
things spread out on homes, or water access issues?
Perhaps backpacks will be the next thing on the big 3 manufacturers horizon
Bruce, it comes down to ease of use and mobility. Like this job we did here, taking in the back pack with 5 gallons of water allowed me to do the interior while one guy was outside hooked up to the trailor. This way we were out of each others way and I didn’t have a hose running through the doors causing a trip hazard with customers.
Also, on monthly ext. Residental, sometimes you can plug into the back pack and do the whole thing without getting too much else out. We do not wear it though. I found that to be silly to be honest. I set it down and hook up a 100’ 5/16 hose and boom we are cleaning!
Thanks Tony!
Man Jeremiah thats quite the set up! nice work.
Thanks Chris!
I must say, it really cut down the time of that 30’+ interior and even was able to go from three micro fiber pads to only two.
Looks like a Menard’s Jeremiah. They have an interesting entryway set up.
I just did my monthly house route today and if I wanted to do it from the van or w/ a system it would take a lot of hose or moving the set up many times. A back pack or trolley gives you that extra versatility in your business.
way to go, that’s awesome.
Yes sir
Good eyes Tony
I’d like to add a general shout out to Tony. Nothing specific. He’s just pretty great in general
somewhere in Iowa, Tony Evans is busting with happiness.
Hey Jeremiah, how did you get Menards to seperate out window cleaning from floor cleaning? In my area they used to use 2 contractors… then they all went to the floor guys… who, by the looks of the glass, dont ever touch it.
Rick,
Not sure why, but here they do the floors and hire out the windows. Maybe it’s the DM, I don’t really know. I actually lost the first bid to a competitor, a few months later the store called and asked if we would still honor our bid. Happily I did, which was much higher than the competitor I might add
Nice! Must just be a case by case… John Menard is weird with his money. He actually started here in my home town of Eau Claire, WI… so I’ve heard a lot of weird stories about him. The best one was him walking through one of his stores… he asks a guy that he thought was one of his employees where something is, the guy looked up at him and just said “I’m not sure” as the story goes, John yelled at him and fired him on the spot. I would have paid 100 bucks to see the look on his face when the customer told him that he does not work there… LOL! But then again, rumors are rumors for a reason, so you can’t believe everythign you hear.
